Owing to the Lancashire lock-out, the sub-committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions will shortly consider the question of calling out all members of unions not involved in the dispute, or the establishment of a fighting fund to meet future similar emergencies in any given trade. THE MINIMUM WAGE. London. December 23. The Times declares that the demand for the minimum wage is one of the untoward results of the eight-hours system, and adds that the men are now earning less than formerly. RESUMPTION IN DUNDEE. Received 26, 11 p.m. London, December 26. Most of the works in Dundee have resumed and the contractors are rushing the fuel supplies. The operatives in the north-east of Lancashire fear the impending lock-out will jeopardise the success of the weavers' application for a 5 per cent, advance on their wages.
