FIRES.
AT LOWER HUTT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Friday. A fire at Lower Hutt yesterday destroyed the residence of Alfred Feist. The house was insured in the London and Liverpool and Globe Office for £SOO and the contents for £IOO. (Feist was a heavy loser. AT GLSBORNE. Gisborne, Friday. The Gladstone boarding-house, owned by flamon and occupied by Ferguson, was gutted by fire this morning. The boarders had a narrow escape. The insurances are, on the building £BSO in the Royal Office, and on the contents £4OO in the Yorkshire Office.
