ENTERTAINMENTS

SAUNDKRS' BIiOGBAPH PICTURES. A new programme was put on at the Whiteley Hall on Saturday, and was certainly up to the high standard of pictures which have made Saunders' entertainments so attractive. "The Modern School of Ca.valry" (military) was a very exciting illustration of the methods of training horses for the military. The steep roads and rocky precipices they had to negotiate, a* well as having to swim rivers,, was very thrilling. "Aida," an Italian-Egyptian tragedy, was full of beauty, passion, and picturesqueness, there"lwing crowds of people surrounding the streets when the leading characters came into view. A comic song, "She Would Talk," created roars of laughter. Everyone the lady met she would insist upon talking to, amd when eventuailly she got arrested for causing trouble over her loquacity, she cleared the court of listeners, counsel, and judge. A scenic effect was that of "The Austral Tyrol." The other good pictures that were shown were "Muscles of an Athlete," "The Stage Romance," "Zara," "Subduing Mrs. Nagg," "Swords and Heart's," and concluded with a very amusing incident of how Weary Willie and Tired Tim went eeeapading ae Wild Westers. They bailed up people, took their belongings, and were having a good time until they met a Boy Scout, who dum founded them by his resistance, and eventually caused their arrest. This excellent programme will be repeated again to-rigM. A' notification was placed on the screen, stating that the new theatre would be on December 23, and pictures shown daily from 11 a.m. till 11 p.m.
