December 14, Lord Lamington. on behalf of the Persia Committee, appeals to Britain to maintain her integrity and independence, and not to allow Persia to fall into the plight of Bokhara and Khiva. He recalls the engagements of 1888 and the convention of 1007, when Britain's acquiescence in Russia's action raised a serious situation. National honor and interests were both involved.
