Beef.—Fores, 2 11-Hid; hinds, unchanged; chilled fores 3d, hinds 4y 2 d. ' Rabbits.—Finn and unchanged. LONDON WOOL SALES. Received 11, 12.45 a.m. London, December 10. The wool sales have closed at the highest point in the series. There ha* been good competition in all quarters, especially for merinos. The Home market took 57,500 bales, the, Continent 54,000, and the United States 7000, 10,000 bales being held over. There was a buoyant tone throughout the series, and competition and prices were steadily sustained. The Germans were keen operators, chiefly for merinos, "and thAmericans particularly operated in cross breds. There was an excellent representation of merinos. Scoureds were fully 5 per cent, above the September rates; best greasy combings par; faulties pay to 5 per cent, below; good lots medium ■ shabby crosebreds, 10 per cent, above; fine crossbreds, also slipes and scoureds, •5 per cent, above September rates. Lambs wool sold at par.
