A clause was passed enabling approved societies to substitute alternative benefits for sickness benefits, subject to the commissioners' approval.

A PROPOSED CONFERENCE. London. November 28. The Council of Railway Companies will meet on Friday to consider the Government's communication with relation to the House of Commons' invitation to the companies to a conference with the railwaymen.
