The Morning Post stated that the negotiations between the Government and the Nationalists have reached an impasse. iMr. Redmond declining to accept any Home Rule Bill which deprived Ireland of the right to impose Customs and excise duties. Mr. Devlin is leading an important, section that is willing to accept the Government's proposals.
INSURANCE BILL. MEMBERS "SNOWED UNDER." Received 20, 10.50 p.m. London, November 29. In the House of Commons members are being "snowed under" by protests against the Insurance Bill. A clause was passed enabling approved societies to substitute alternative benefits for sickness benefits, subject to the commissioners' approval.
A PROPOSED CONFERENCE. London. November 28. The Council of Railway Companies will meet on Friday to consider the Government's communication with relation to the House of Commons' invitation to the companies to a conference with the railwaymen.
