RIOTS IN LISBON.
TWO CHINESE EYE DOCTORS. SOME STREET FIGHTING. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 28, 12.45 a.m. Lisbon, November 27. The authorities ordered the expulsion of two Chinese women—so-called eye doctors'—owing to one hundred blind patients sleeping in the streets about the women's hotel. Huge crowds protested to the authorities, who ordered the police to kidnap the women. A riot resulted, and the Republican Guards were stoned, shots were exchanged, and a bomb exploded. The troops charged with, drawn swords and their horses trod down many scores, who were taken.to the hospital. The rioters invaded the San Jose Hospital and endeavored to prevent the doctors attending to the wounded.
