Children should be carried free up to five years of age, and school children should not be classed as men. The railways should be run at bare cost. lie intended to bring in a Bill making it compulsory for a doctor to give gratuitous attention in country districts, no matter what the individual circumstances. the State recouping the doctor for any actual loss. lie received a vote of confidence. VETERANS' ASSOCIATION. Wellington, November 21. The Wellington branch of tlx; Yetef ans' Associations last night passed resolutions endorsing resolution passed by other branches respecting military pensions, which were, they considered, a diiect insult to the veterans, and requcsting that Parliamentary candidates lie asked to support an amending Bill, giving justice to veterans.
