The police have detained the Cingalese Working on dung's farm, in connection with the Alligator Creek tragedy, in which a mother and her five children were murdered. Residents in the vicinity are in a state of terror. RISE IN BUTTER. Sydney, November 21. In sympathy with'the rise of the price of butter in London local butter has advanced to llGs. WF.STRALIAN WHEAT YIELD. Perth, November 21. The estimated average wheat yield Is about the same as last year—lo.l bushels per acre. A THEATRICAL BOYCOTT. Melbourne, November 21. The Theatrical Employees' Association has decided to extend' the boycott of non-unionists to all the other States and has given them seven days to join the union. FIRE AT ADELAIDE. Adelaide. Fire destroyed the rear portion of D. and J. Fowlers' largp grocery wareiioii.se, containing £20.000 worth of stock. Tlie loss was covered by insurance. STATE BRICK AND CEMENT WORKS. Sydney, November 21. As a result of the rise in the price of bricks. Mr. Oritlith intends to ask the Works Committee to report on a proposal for the immediate extension of the output, of the Government brick works to 250.000 weekly, also to push on the State cement works.
