A STRATFORD INQUIRY. By Telegraph—Press / Association. Dunedin, Last Night. The Presbyterian Assembly decided today to discontinue committees on the state of religion, public questions, and evangelism, and that one committee, known as the committee on church life and work, should be substituted. The Stratford case was remitted to the Taranaki Presbytery to consider , the value arid relevance of alleged new evidence, with power to cite witnesses and inquire whether, in the Assembly's decision, any material injustice was done to Mr. Lilley,' who was not heard by the Assembly in 1903.
