The following is the High Commissioner's cable under date London, November 14 (quotations, unless otherwise specified, being average market prices on spot) :-■• Eggs.—The market is firm, and good demand continues. New-laids are scarce and command highest rates. Prices per 120: Home 17s *Gd to 20s, Russian 8s to 10s (id, Italian 13s to 17s, Danish 15s fid to 17s fid, Dutch 15s to 20s, French 15s to 10s. Poultry.—The, market is quiet, with large supply from all parts. Chickens. —American, nothing offering here; Russian 8d to 8y 3 d per lb., Home 7d to 9d. Ducklings.—Home 7d to Bd, Russian 5d to 6d. Turkeys.—Home 9d to lOd, Hungarian 7<l to B<l. Hams. - Market quiet) but steady; good demand for lighter weights; Irish 88s to 112s per cwt. English 90s to 110s, Canadian 58s to 68s, American 54s to 66d. 'Bacon.—The market is steady, with moderate demand. Sides: Irish 58s to 63s per cwt, Continental 52s to 635, Ameriinn 52s to 61s, Canadian 55s to 00s.
