STRATFORD A. AND P. SHOW

Were is apparently something very at- i tractive to exhibitors in the Stratford show. Already there arc indications that the great number of entries received last year will be easily exceeded this year.; No doubt the very central position of Stratford accounts to some extent for the popularity of the show, together with the convenient train service. Trains run at very suitable intervals and fairly frequently, so that exhibitors have; every facility for railing their stock to' and from Stratford. Then again the show authorities make every preparation for the receiving and safe custody of exhibits, while a gr*at deal of money has Seen spent in improving the show grounds during the last twelve months.' Practically the whole of the association's preperty, comprising thirty-eight acres, has been levelled and laid down in grass, and at the present time is looking ai perfect picture. The whole of the bull and horse boxes—forty ; in number—are. now completed, and give the impression of an up-to-date racing stable on a lar»c scale. Extra accommodation for sheep and cattle, including fat cattle, is also now ready. Without going, further into the great many improvements' effeoted, it may be said, without exaggeration; that there is not a more up-to-date, show i ground in the Dominion. . Breeders of i pedigree,Btock throughout New Zealand, and .anyone wishing to purchase 'purebred stock could with advantage : pay a visit to the Stratford show, as it rrfay be taken for granted' that in stock of high quality, particularly in dairy stock, some of the .best, produced will'be- exhibited. Entries close on Thursday, 23rd November, and of course they mav be made on any day before that date, 'intending ex-' i hibitors should plaee their entries with i Mr. Edward Jackson a? early ~$ possible to ensure correct cataloguing.
