LONDON MARKETS. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright London, November 3, Wheat.—The markets are inactive, with a lower tendency all round, chiefly owing to excellent crop prospects in Argentina, reports of rain and the improvement of conditions in Australia. Buyers are -filling only pressing requirements and cargoes are neglected. Thirtysix shillings and ninepence was asked for an Australian July shipment, 36s 2d for January-February, and 3Cs (5d for J Miliary. Thirty-five shillings was paid for a parcel November-December shipment. There was little demand for spot. Australian brought 37s and New Zealand best 35s 6d to 35s 9d. Flour.—Dull. Australian ex store 25s 6d. Oats. —Generally weak. New Zealand scarce and linn. La Plata DecemberJanuary 10s. Peas.—Dull and unchanged. Beans.—Firm. New Zealands, scarce, 35s fid to 30s (id. Butter.—Quiet. Danish 1345. Steady demand for Australian, and the small arrivals are being cleared well. Choicest silted 126s to 128s, unsalted 130s, secondaries slow at 112s to 120s. The quality of the new arrivals is generally very satisfactory. Copper.—On the spot, £55 15s; at three months, £56 10s; elecfcrolvtic, £57 12s 6d. Tin.—On tlie spot, £IBO 10s; at three months, £ 185. Lead, £ls 12s 6d. Iron, £4os ffd. Spelter, £26 10s. Sugar.—German, 17s; first marks, 10s 6d. Bradford Wool.—Firmer. Future 04's, 24% d; super fiO's, 24% d; common GO's, 22% d; others unchanged.
