A meeting of Cabinet took place today, when the following business was transacted:—For Seacliff Mental Hospital drainage £SOOO was authorised. Pkns were approved for a Public Works workshop at Auckland, and tenders wereauthorised to bo invited'. Plans and sWifieations were approved and authority, given to invite tenders for the construction of a tunnel at Lake Coleridge Water-Power Works. Tenders were accepted for piles at Tangarakau river bridges. Plans and specifications were approved, and authority given to invite tenders for police stations at Maungaturoto ami Tanmarmm l . Tenders were authorised to be called for road work at Tongaporutu to Mangaroa ( £400) and Otorohanga to Otewa (£300). For Mt. Parnassus station yards, plans and specifications were approved, and authority given for calling tenders. Also for road bridge at Tahautara. An amount of .Cl7.i!) for a Public Works workshop and st</rfi sit Wellington was approved. The resignation of the Solicitor-General as a member of the State Guaranteed Advances Board, on account of extra duties, was accepted, and the Valuer-Gen-eral was appointed in his stead on the board.
