The Imperial Maritime League is sending to the King a petition signed by 152 chambers of commerce, companies and shipping, 105 mayors, 100 peers, 335 generals, and 70 King's counsels, praying that he will not assent to the ratification of the Declaration of London, pending reconsideration by a select committee or a Royal Commission.
