The King, Queen and members of the Royal family attended the dedication of the King Edward memorial, a window representing the Lord reigning in glory, at 'Sandringham Church. The memorial has been erected by subscriptions from the Royal Family and residents and workers on the Sandringham estate.
The Countess Lonsdale opened a King Edward memorial wing of the ■Cumberland Infirmary at Carlisle, costing £30,000.
An anonymous American has presented a massive silver altar reredos to Sandringham Church as a memorial of King Edward.
