THE FOXTON FATALITY.
TUNEIUL OF FOUR -VICTIMS. AN AFFECTING CEREMONY. By Telegraph—Press Association. Palmcrston North, Last Night. The funeiral of four of the victims of the Foxton drowning tragery, Mrs. Robert and Mrs. Grove and her two children, took place this afternoon. The town had been profoundly affected by the ■tragic nature of the happening, and fully two thousand people assembled afc the cemetery, while crowds lined the Streets traversed by the two funeral processions. Flags Were flown at half-mast from public buildings and business premises, and the profoundest sympathy is expressed on all sides with the bereaved families. The ceremonies at the graveside were most affecting. Both were conducted by the.vicar, Rev. 11. G. Rosher, and many beautiful floral tributes were received, and messages of- sympathy came from all over the Dominion, including telegrams from the Premier and Hons. R. and T. Mackenzie. No trace has yet been found of the bodies of Miss O Sullivan and the two Sobert children.
