STARR-BALDWIN COMPANY. The Starr-Baldwin Company will appear at the Theatre Royal on Friday, October ];{. and will submit an extremely interesting and diversified programme. In speaking of the company, a northern contemporary says:—"The star turn is Starr and Leslie, in a smart new act. Tkey are a whole show in themselves, a combina-tioii t>f crisp repartee, tricky juggling with Indian clubs, and popular songs. Starr and Leslie are worth the price of admission alone. Recall after recall greeted Madame Russell, whoso rendition of high-class operatic selections came as a welcome change. Another good act was Mora, the White Mahatma, in her weird act, entitled Somnomancy. People desirious to test the matter merely think intently of a question on any subject, past, present, or future, and Mora, while in a somnomistic state, gives an accurate answer. The management claim that she answers 04 per cent, of ker questions absolutely correct. Another performer of great ability was the man of many mysteries, Dr. Rowe, who received enthusiastic applause for his clever work. A strong act. with pretty costumes and elaborate furnishings, was presented J>y Koko, who is an artist in pictures of a new kind, the lady looking well in a bright colored harem costume." It is safe to say that the company will command attention from all lovers of a bright and refined entertainment.
