Beef.—The market is dull on account of heavy arrivals. There is less demand for New Zealand meat; hinds 3%<1, fores 2%d. Butter.—The market is strong; all stocks arc advancing. The supply falls short of the. demand. Victorian (this season's) arrived realising 1325, Danish 1455, Siberian 120s.
Cheese.—The market is quiet, but holders are firm. There is less demand on account of high prices. Canadian 70s. Hemp.—The market continues dull. There is no change in prices, namely: New Zealand good fair .spot £l9 15s, New Zealand fair grade €lB 15s, fair current Manila €2O; forward shipment of New Zealand, good fair £2O, fair grade £1!), fair current Manila £2O ss. The output from Manila for the week was 25.01)0 bales.
Kauri Gum.—The market is quiet but steady.
