THE APPEAL COURT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Monday. The Appeal. Court opened to-day with Sir Robert Stout and Justices Denniston, Edwards and Chapman on the bench. There was the usual attendance of bar. The Court has a list of ten cases ajid three applications regarding solicitors, besides a number of judgments deferred from last sitting. Conditional leave to appeal to the Privy Oojincil was given in the case Massey v. New Zealand Times; and final leave to appeal in ■Samson v. Aitchison, the case to be sent to England within one month. KINDERGARTEN IN OHRISTCHUROH. Christchurch, Monday. A sprc-ial kindergarten department was opened in connection with the Normal Training College this morning with the object of giving teachers training in kindergarten methods.
