TUB WAJPAWA SEAT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Waipawa, Thursday. A caucus of the Liberal Party, held yesterday to select a candidate for tho Waipawa seat, was attended by seventy. The Hon. T. Mackenzie and A. E. Jull were suggested as candidates, but after 'three hours' discussion no decision was arrived at, and the meeting adjourned for seven days. The northern end was solid for Mr. Jull. while the southern end j favored Mr. Mackenzie.

He claimed that df the Government did not bring down satisfactory land legislation this session they would have no right to ask for further support. At-the close of the atldress, Mr. J. Robertson, candidate for Mana--watu, asked Mt. Jones if he would debate the. (westions, farmers' socialism and land, with Professor Mills, he undertaking to arrange, if he would. Mr. Jones said ho had given his views. Mr. Mills could come and give his, but be did not consider any good would come of debating the matter from the same platform.
