DEATH OF RUSSIAN PREMIER

Stolypin, the Premier. The Continental press eulogises the late Jf. Stolypin's patriotism and devotion to the Czar and Russia. St. Petersburg, September 20. The death of M. Stolypin caused consternation in the country. Theatres were closed, and churches are holding requiems.
He will be interred at KiefT on Friday. iM. Konovstoff is likely to succeed M. Stolypin. Bogroff received the revolver from the Chief of the KiefT Police. The latter has been dismissed. Bogroff is still suffering from the rough treatment of the theatregoers. . • > ■- -it.
r Shortly before his death M.-Stolypin requested that his room be, brilliantly lighted. With his last remaining strength he raised himself in bed, and smiled on those around.
The Czar attended the mass for the repose of M. Stolypin's soul, and comforted the widow and family.
