TRAIN FALLS INTO RIVER
A PORTUGUESE ACCIDENT.. LOSS OF LIFE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Received 12, 9.30 p.m. Lisbon, September 12. Owing to a fall of rock an express was derailed near Oporto. Eight carriages fell into the river Douro. Many of the passengers were rescued with great difficulty by the aid of punts and ropes. Five bodies were recovered. The total deaths are unknown.
