WOMAN WALKS FROM MELBOURNE TO SYDNEY. By Cable —Press Association—Copyright. Sydney, September 12. Miss Park, a New Zealander, established a record for women walkers. Accompanied by a packman carrying the impedimenta, she walked from Melbourne to Sydney, the journey occupying five weeks. She slept in the open. The distance from Melbourne to Sydney by rail is 582% miles. "Miss Park would have to average nearly 20 miles a day.
