CROSSCOUNTRY- CHAMPIONSHIP. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Monday. Otago <won the cross-country championship and Hill (Auckland) the individual championship. Beatson (Otago) was second, and Notman (Otago) third. PROMINENT PLAYER SUSPENDED. Dunedin, Last Night. At a meeting of the Otago Rugby Union to-night, A. McDonald, a member of the "All Black" team and captain ot the Otago team against the South Island minor unions team, was suspended till the end of 1912 on a charge of using an insulting expression to the referee in the match between Otago and minor unions.
