A FATAL SLIP
MOTOR BOAT TRAGEDY. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Last Ni"ht. A man named Ralph Lennard Wakefield, between 30 and 40 years of age, slipped from the f>ow of his motor launch at Huia, Manukau harbor, this afternoon. The engine was running, and Wakefield was unable to grab hold of his launch, there being no one else in the craft to throw him a line or stop the engine. The accident was noticed from the shore, but before assistance arrived the body had sunk, and so far has not been recovered.
