DEATH OF ELSIE HOLLAND
SENSATIONAL EVIDENCE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Thursday. There "was some sensational evidence in connection with the death of Elsie Holland in the charge against James CShaughnessy, Jane Hartley, Charlotte Campbell and Mary Hassell, who are charged with being accessories' after the fact.
Elizalbeth Sindlin. deposed that in conversation with Mts. Camplhell, Mrs. Hassell and Miss Duggan. after the death of Elsie Holland, Mrs. Campbell said they had got into a dirty mess, that Mrs. Hassell put a tabloid in the girl's mouth, and Mrs. O'Sliaughnessv did the operation. Mi's. Campbell further slid that the tabloids were put into the girl's mouth to make people tihink she had poisoned herself.
ONE OF ACCUSED DISCHARGED. Auckland, Last Night. The Bench considered that there was no case against Mrs. Hartley, who was accordingly discharged. The other accused were committed for trial, bail being granted, which was forthcoming in the cases of O'Shaughnessy and Mrs. Hassell onlv.
