A DHAD BODY INDENTIFIED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Thursday. A dead body, found in the scrub with a Jysol bottle alongside it, has been identified as thai of Daniel Condon, porter at the hospital, 50 years of age, who has been missing for two months. A WOMAN'S SUICIDE. Napier, Thursday. A married woman named Fanny Harris, aged 54, the wife of Thomas Harris, a lineman, was found dead in a quarry at the rear of her residenPl early this morning. The deceased had suffered from ill-health for a considerable time and last week attempted Buicide by drinking a solution of match heads.
A SYRIAN KILLED -InvercargiM, Thursday. A Syrian hawker named Yusif Suffra, aged 00, fell or jumped from a train at Makarewa last night, and sustained a fracture of the skull and injuries resulting in his death in the hospital today. MAN'S EYES KICKED OUT. Auckland, Last Night. A very serious accident occurred at Te Awamutu yesterday. Mr. W. J. Ranby? a farmer of Ohanpo, was driving in a light trap between Te Awamutu and Kawa, wfien the horse became unmanageable. and kicked the front boitrd away, striking Ranby on the face. Both eyeballs were smashed, the bridge of the his nose completely broken, and his face much bruised. It was found necessary to remove the right eye, and to stitch the left, and the injuries to the latter are so serious that it is feared it will also have to be removed. In anv case t'V' injured man will be totally blind.
