MILITARY TRAINING.
THE OFFICERS' CAMP. By Telegraph—Press Association. Palmerston North, Last Night. Excellent work continues to be done in the officers' and non-commissioned officers' camp on the Show Ground. The strength has now passed 400, and the camp has so caught on that officers who have found it impossible to attend this time are expressing the keenest regret. Lectures were delivered to-day by Col. Burdett-Stuart, on organisation; Captain Duigan, military engineering; and Sergt.-Major Rose, general theory of musketry. Lord Islington and General Godley are to arrive on Friday, when a review will be held on the work.
The rain to-day made the ground sloppy, but much of the programme was carried out in the big show sheds.
