AUSTRALIAN CADETS
INSPECTED BY LORD ROBERTS. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. London, August 4. Lord Roberts has inspected the cadets at the Crystal Palace. He commended them on the smartness of their uniform and precision in the handling of their arms. He presented Sir Charles Wakefield's cup for shooting at Bisley, and also presented Wynne with the Roberts Medal and each boy with an autograph photograph and a copy of his book, " Forty-one Years in India." Wynne presented Lord Roberts, on behalf of the boys, with an inkstand made of Broken Hill silver, mounted on Australian hardwood.
OBJECT-LESSON TO GREAT BRITAIN.
Received 6, 5.5 p.m. London, August 5. Lord Roberts, addressing the Australian cadets, said it was a disgrace that Britain should be without a system such as Australasia possessed. It was absolutely essential that Britain should follow the dominions' example.
