The Surveyors' Conference, in their report just issued, states that it is essential to form a central board consist ing of representatives from overseas, and also the institution of a civil engineers' ordnance survey institution and a colonial office for the purpose of maintaining examination standards, to meet quadrennially. SYDNEY GOVERNMENT HOUSE. Received 2, 11.30 p.m. Melbourne, August 2. Lord Denman, Governor-General, will consider the matter of a Government House in Sydney when he visits there in September. *
