A DISABLED STEAMER
PUTS INTO SYDNEY. By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright Received 3, 1.14 a.m. Sydney, August 2. The steamer Kamona, bound from Westport to Thursday Island, with a cargo of coal for warships, put into Syd- ; ney for repairs. She struck violent weather, and her boiler tubes began to leak. Arrangements have been made to send the coal by the Whangape to Koepang, Java, where she will meet the fleet. SIGHTED BY THE WARRIMOO. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Warrimoo, which arrived from Sydney to-day, reports that at midday oil Sunday die sighted the steamer Kamona, wihich left Westport on July 25 for Thursday Island with Admiralty coal. The Kamona, which was then about 300 miles from Sydney, signalled that she was proceeding to Sydney fot repairs. She was then slowly steaming along, and apparently wa,s not in need of assistance.
