IRISH DELEGATES FAREWELLED.
By Telegraph—Preis Aaa«eia.ti»n. Wellington, Friday. The Irish delegates were accorded a farewell banquet last night. Mr. Donovan, responding, said that New Zealand had given nearly £IO,OOO. Mr. Hazelton made sympathetic reference to the death of Mr. Taylor, who had impressed him as one of tile greatest of New Zealand's sons. TRAINING CAMP. Wellington, Friday. A seven days' camp of instruction for officers and non-commissioned officers ot the Wellington district will begin at the show grounds, Palmerston North, on August 5. THE ROYAL STANDARD. Wellington, Friday. The Gazette contains a copy of a letter from Mr. Harcoiirt, Secretary for the Colonies, stating that the King has decided that the Royal Standard, which is the personal flag of the Sovereign, is not to be flown in future except when the King is personally present.
