Mr. Bonar Law supports Lord Lansdowne's policy on the ground that if the Home Rule Bill proyps of such a nature that electors oppose it the Lords will still have power' to delay the Expiring Laws Continua'tice Bill and the Army Annual Bill, apd thus make the' continuance of the Government impossible, and compel an election.

Mr. Sheehy called attention to Mr. Lundon having, ,alleged in the House of Commons that William O'Brien was a descendant of Nagle, the informer. Mr. Lundon refused to withdraw the statement, and Mr. O'Brien shouted, "Then you're an infamous liar and scoundrel." The Speaker professed that he did not hear the remark.

Two hundred and eighty-seven peers have signified their adherence t« Lord Lansdowne's, pacific policy. The supporters of LordvHalsbury (who is in favor of "dying in tile ■ last ditch" and forcing the Government to create new Lords) have dwindled to sixty.
