Mr. Murray, Premier of Victoria, at a banquet, declared that it was not English to judge Mr. Fisher by a reported interview. They should judge him by his public utterances. Lord Desborough, proposing the toast of the Empire, said that no great Imperial question in the future would be settled without consulting the overseas dominions.
