The Pnlmerston Borough Council last night decided to submit a loan propos.nl to ratepayers in favor of tlie installation of an electric tram service on the Edison Storage battery system at a cost of £45,000 for an eight-mile route. WIRELESS MESSAGE. Wellington, Last Night. A wireless message from the Ruahine en route to Wellington from London, states that at S o'clock to-night .she was 300 miles from port. She expected to arrive about 11 p.m. to-morrow, and will berth next morning.
