ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
AOCIDENT ON FOOTBALL FIjELD. By Triiyayh—fms Association. Ashburton, Last Night. An accident occured during the playing of a third grade football match on the Show grounds to-day, by which Keith Dee sustained a broken leg, and two others were slightly hurt tmi bruised. Dee's break was not a partkularly serious one. A CHILD FATALLY SCALDBD. A sad accident happened on -Sunday last at the home of Mr. George Young, Radnor Road (reports the Stratford Post). Some bop beer which was being boiled on a fire was capsized, an 4 terribly scalded Mr. Young's thirteen-months-old daughter, who was sitting on the hearth-rug at the time. The child was badly scalded from the waist downwards, and died on Tuesday sight.
