OLD MAN'S SUICIDE. Dunedin, Last Night. An inquest was (held to-day on the body of Peter Dufforn, an old age pensioner, who committed suicide yesterday. The person who discovered the man met a nauseating sight, a wound in his abdomen, extending from side to side, causing a portion of his internal organs to protrude. The medical evidence showed that insomnia had induced lowness of spirits, and probably a sudden suicidal impulse. Tie coroner recorded a verdict of suicide whilst temporarily insane.

FISHERMAN DROWNED. j Auckland, Last Night. A fisherman named James Reed, with' a woman and another man, went out on, the harbor to-night in a small dinghy. They were capsized, and Reed waa drowned.
