BRITISH POLITICS
THE FETTERED PEERS. "THEY MUST YIELD." By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright London, July 7. The Daily Telegraph, in a remarkable article, advises the Unionist peers to pass the Veto Bill. The best men on both sides would heartily welcome a reasonable settlement. There was no escaping the Bill. The hemlock must ( be drunk; the peers were in fetters, and must yield. They had fought well enough for honor, aild the Unionist Party would not always be in a minority. The next Administration might be able to destroy the Bill.
