In tlie final of the doubles Doust and Mrs. Chambers beat Ward and Miss Coles, G—l, o—2. Received 8, 12.50 a.m. London, July 7. In the singles iinal Iloper Barrett beat Dixon, 5-7, 4—6, o—4, o—3, G--1. Decugis and Gobert beat Parker and Hardy, o—2, o—l, o—2.
THE DAVIS CUP. Received 8, 12.15 a.m. London, July 7. Mr. Dunlop's letter to the Sportsman bitterly complains of the All England Tennis Association's treatment regarding the Davis Cup. The writer says that Australasia's position is unique. Britain did not want a British team to take the cup from Australasia, and added tlmt Australasia is very sore and dennianded a visit by a common right.
