HUNTING
NORTH TARANAKI CLUB. The North Taranaki Hunt Club's meet at Mr. W. Cole's, Waihi, on Thursday, was very successful. There was a number of runs, but only one kill resulted after a long chase. T-e properties hunted over were those of Messrs. W. Cole, Wills, Vickery, Topliss and Birdling, which all provided splendid country. Amongst those ridin" were: The Master (Mr. A. H. Halcombe) on Flying Scotchman, Deputy-Masters B. H. Clianey on Drudgery and H. Matthews on Rua, Huntsman (Mr. A. Cliff) on Kura and Kiri, Messrs. W. Cole on Nigger, W. Lonergan on Silver King, L. Jennins on Laddie, Acting Whip Lash' on Jack, C. Stockman on Te Akau, W. T. Hookham on Otoaroa, W. Birdling on Jock, P. Sampson on Darkie, G. Foreman on Barnic, Cook on Bachelor's Button F. Pepperill on King George, G. Stockman on Mungo Park, Russell on Otus, L. George on Red Hazard, Topliss on Grey, A. Humphries ofi Rawa, E. George on Rawhinia, T. Jones on Day Star, E. Stockman on Wideawake, and others. The ladies were: Mrs. H. Matthews on Ginger, Mrs. Wheatley on Blackie, Miss wheatley on King Cole. Afternoon teal was provided at Mrs. Cole's residence.
