MANY VESSELS COLLIDE
A RECORD FOG. LIGHTER GOES AGROUND. By cable.—Press Association.—Copyright Received 30, 7.20 p.m. Sydney, June 30. During a fog, which was a record for density, the harbor ferry steamers Kangaroo and Kunnamuka collided. The ferry steamer Bingarra got foul of the collier Parcoro, and the ferry steamer Lady Rawson came into collision with another vessel.. In each case the vessels were running slow, and the damage is* not serious. There was considerable excitement amongst the passengers. The steam lighter Jubilee, coming down the Parramatta river, was piled on the "Brothers' rocks, displacing the marble monument erected there in memory of the sculler Searle, from its foundations. A number of other vessels had narrow escapes of colliding or grounding in the fog.
