Horman, now owner of the alleged '-Duchess of Gainsborough" portrait, has arranged an exhibition in a West End gallery, to enable experts to compare it with Mr. Pierpont Morgan's. A £'200,000 GIFT. Received 30, 10.20 p.m. London, June 30. Lady Wantage and Mr. George William Palmer (of biscuit manufacturing fame), Ms wife, and Alfred Palmer, have given £50,000 each to endow a university at Reading, with a view to the application for a charter as an independent university. Mr. G. Palmer gave a previous donation of £.50,000 in 1905.
