WIRELESS TELEGRAPHY.

LAND STATIONS WANTED. By cable.—-Press Association.—Copyright Melbourne, June 30. A Chamber of Commerce deputation asked the Postmaster-General to establish small commercial wireless stations on various parts of the coast. The anomaly existed that practically all the overseas steamers were fitted with wireless telegraphy, but there were no land stations, Mr. Thomas expressed full sympathy with the suggestion, but said that'certain legal difficulties had arisen regarding the installation, and it was not desirable to proceed till these had been settled. It was intended to place a sum on the Estimates next session for wireless telegraphy.
