RESULTS OF COMPETITIONS. , / ' By Telegraph.—l'rwM Association. Palmerston X., Friday. At the National Dairy Show to-day there was a large attendance, despite the rain. The milk-testing compettnba for farmers' eons and daughters TU won by Fred Lumley, of the AsMniWk School. Two jumping competition! were the main attraction, the Hunters' Cup competition being won (by J. K. McDonald's Betrayer, and the Maiden Hunters by H. R. Lancaster's Princeev In the former the Manawatu hounds were on the ground. I A big smoke concert was held in th» evening. At the annual meeting of the Romney March Sheep Breeders' Association, Mr. A. Mathews (Wairarapa) wat elected president. A recommendation was made to vote £6O to the Wheelef memorial fund. A motion was carried that with a view of making an outlet for New Zealand rame special corr#» spondents he appointed abroad. Th# championship shields this year are at* lotted to Otago and Manawatu. It was decided that the annual stud ram and ewe fair be held under the association's auspices. .YESTERDAY'S PROCEEDINGS. ; Palmers ton N., Last Night. The National Dairy Show concluded to-day after a most successful fouf days. The bad weather interfered somewhat with the attendance through* out, .but nevertheless the Teturns an satisfactory and large. Wood chopping and sawing compete tions were held to-day, the former ing won by A. Rosenfeldt, and the la* ter by A. Palmer and C. Petersen.
