LEGISLATION AGAINST PESTS. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Received' 19, 1.5 a.m. London, June 10. At the Agricultural Conference nt the Colonial Office Sir W. Hall-Joines, Mr. McGowen, Sir C. Lewis and others were present. Lord Cromer presided and explained the establishment of a central organisation in London to transit information, enabling the Dominions and Colonies to legislate against pests. Mr. McGowen proposed a resolution to the effect that the scheme would be highly advantageous. Steps should be taken to retain the adhesion of the colonies. The resolution* waa carried.
