SOCIAL POLITICAL UNION. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Beceived 19, 1.6 a.m. London, June 19. Mrs. Drmnmond, on horseback, led a five miles long procession of the Women's Social Political Union. The women marched seven abreast, and aggregated 40,000, representing all the counties. There were seventy bands. One section of the procession symbolised women's part in history. Then came 700 suffragettes who had been imprisoned, dressed in white. Another section of the pageant represented the greatness and unity of the Empire. Besides Mesdames Fisher and McGowen, Ladies Brassey -and Cockburn walked in the procession. The proceedings at the Albert Hall were enthusiastic.
