AMERICAN WHEAT. London, June 14. The American visible wheat supply is 40,628,000 bushels. L. A. NOLAN & CO. Messrs. L. A. Nolan and Co. report for week ending Wednesday, June 14, 1911, as follows: Poultry—On Saturday we had our usual good entry, despite the inclemency of the weather. There was keen competition for all classes. We quote: Hens, fat Is 9d to 2s 4d, poor Is 3d to Is 7d; roosters, Is 5d to 2s 3d; cockerels, Is 4d to 2s 4d; purebred black Orpingtons, ss; brown Leghorns, ss; geese, 2s 6d to 3s; ducks, Is lid to 2s Id; turkey gobblers, 6s, hens 54. Furniture. —In the mart we had a large quantity of furniture. This was disposed of at satisfactory prices. FRUlT.—During the past week shipments of Island oranges and pineapples have come to hand. Owing to the small consignments of apples from Nelson this week, very high prices w:>re realised. We quote: Oranges 7s fid to 9s, re-packs 10s; apples-, Sturmers 9s to 10s 3d, Northern Spys 9s 6d to 10a 9d, Cambridge Pippins 6s 3d to is 3d; Epps seedlings 6s 3d to 7s: bananas, ripe 2y 3 d per lb.; pineapples, lis 6d; lemons, 8s 6d; cabbage, 2s 4d per doz.
