STATEMENT BY MR. ROOSEVELT. By cable. —Press Association.—Copyright New York,' June 7. Mr. Roosevelt has caused' an announcement to be circulated of his cordial approval of Mr. Taft's candidature for the Presidency in 1012. Mr. Roosevelt in an unmistakeable manner informed Mr. Taft of his iritention not to contest the Presidency, and in the circumstances Mr. Taft's friends believe that his re-election is,now assured. A considerable section of Republicans is believed 'to favor Mr. Roosevelt's nomination.
