The murdering and pillaging going on in many section.? of the Republic are causing a reign of terror. Several Governors are resigning. Other officers are abandoning their offices. Food prices are very high. The outbreaks are due to the failure of Madero's commanders to control their subordinates. Madcro is en route to Mexico City, Better conditions are expected when he assumes power. . THE CONQUERING HERO. Mexico City. June 2. Madero was entertained at a gorgeous ball held in the Customs House ballroom at Juarez, where Presidents Taft and Diaz met in lflOfl. Madero is leaving immediately for Mexico City. Hundreds of well-armed Yaquc Indians are mobilised in the Quque river country, and are demanding the restoration of their lands.
